Dr. Greene has many years of experience removing all sorts of foreign bodies from the esophagus and stomach, using endoscopy. Occasionally, dogs are brought to the vet because they have swallowed a fishhook. Sometimes it's a single hook, and other times it's a treble hook. Luckily, Dr. Greene is able to spare the dog surgery, by removed the fishhook using endoscopy. This takes a short anesthetic procedure and is much less invasive that doing surgery to remove the fishhook. The pet is generally able to go home the same day.
